Workers Compensation and Injury Management Act 2023 comes into effect

On 1 July 2024, the Workers Compensation and Injury Management Act 2023 (new WCIM Act) came into effect. Under the new WCIM Act, an employee accrues entitlements to annual leave, personal leave and long service leave during a period of income or workers compensation. The legislation is available to view on the TKB.
