Team Bump n Grind takes on the 2026 Winter S***box Rally
Equip-Safe trainer Darren Jackson and his wife, Kylie, are swapping the training room for some of Australia’s roughest roads as they take on the 2026 Winter S***box Rally.
Competing as Team Bump n Grind, Darren and Kylie will, by the end of this challenge, have tackled more than 3,800 kilometres through remote regional Australia in a car worth less than $1,500, all while raising vital funds for Cancer Council.
Equip-Safe is proud to sponsor Team Bump n Grind as they embark on this extraordinary challenge.
What is the Winter S***box Rally?
The Winter S***box Rally is no ordinary road trip. Teams must purchase a car valued at less than $1,500 and attempt to drive it across some of Australia’s most remote, demanding, and unforgiving roads. The event is held to raise funds to support cancer research, prevention programs, and services for people affected by cancer.
More than 3,800 kilometres of outback adventure
Beginning in Mildura, Victoria, Darren and Kylie are currently travelling north to Karumba in Queensland before heading back down to the finish line in Townsville. The route covers more than 2,400 kilometres of unsealed dirt roads. They are attempting the journey in a vehicle that has already experienced more than its fair share of rough roads, with no guarantee that every component will remain attached until Townsville.
Along the way, Team Bump n Grind will contend with corrugated tracks, dust, mud, mechanical problems, long days behind the wheel, and whatever else the Australian outback decides to throw at them.
Driving for an important cause
Behind the colourful cars and outback chaos is a cause that touches almost every Australian family.
Team Bump n Grind is taking part to help raise funds for Cancer Council and support its work across cancer research, prevention, advocacy, and patient support.
Their willingness to travel thousands of kilometres through difficult terrain reflects the generosity, determination, and community spirit that the rally represents.
Support Team Bump n Grind
Darren and Kylie are calling on colleagues, friends, family members, and supporters to get behind Team Bump n Grind. They have already raised over $7,500 for charity, and want to raise even more. Remember: every contribution to their fundraising campaign will help support Cancer Council and its work with people and families affected by cancer.
