ECA WA Partners with MADDA to Promote Asbestos and Dust Safety Awareness

Website News Card 430 X 220 Px

The partnership builds on a long-standing relationship between MADDA and organisations within WA's electrical industry, including the support provided over many years through ETI and the Electrical Runway sponsorship at MADDA's Steeltoes & Stilettos fundraising events.

Asbestos and harmful dust exposure remain significant risks for electrical workers, particularly when working on older buildings and infrastructure. While asbestos was banned in Australia more than two decades ago, it continues to be present in many properties and workplaces across Western Australia.

Through this partnership, ECA WA and MADDA will work together to raise awareness of asbestos and dust-related risks, promote safe work practices, and help ensure electrical workers have the information they need to identify hazards and protect themselves on the job.

Workplace safety has always been a priority for ECA WA and the broader electrical industry. By partnering with MADDA, we can help keep these important issues front of mind for contractors, apprentices, electricians and businesses throughout the state.

We look forward to supporting MADDA's ongoing advocacy and awareness efforts and working together to promote safer outcomes for everyone in the electrical industry.
