Reminder: Critical installation defects identified with grid‑connected multi‑mode (hybrid) inverters

In September, Building and Energy released guidance outlining the testing requirements that ensure the safe installation and operation of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) that incorporate hybrid inverters.

All electricians and contractors should review this document before installing these systems as inspections have identified critical defects, mainly due to installers not following manufacturer instructions and inadequate testing in alternative supply mode.
