Ensure compliance with Western Power's updated CCS and SACS training requirements

As part of recent updates to the Contractor Connect Scheme (CCS) and Service Apparatus Connection Scheme (SACS), Western Power now requires mandatory training for all participants in these schemes.
What's changed?
To maintain accreditation and continue participating in the scheme, the following training is now required:
- Existing participants must complete a 1 day refresher course within the next 12 months and are eligible to undertake the 1 day pit training course.
- An annual SACS refresher course is now mandatory for all participants.
- New entrants must have approval from Western Power and complete the 2 day SACS course and either; a 3 day pit and pillar course, or a 2 day pillar course.
What do I need to do next?
To help meet the new training requirements, the College of Electrical Training (CET) is now delivering a range of courses for Western Power accredited electrical contractors and authorised electrical workers seeking approval to connect consumers to the network.
For more information, view the course page here or contact CET.
