Under the Workers Compensation and Injury Management Act 2023 (WA), the employer obligation to hold workers compensation insurance does not just apply to employees. The Act covers ‘workers’ which in some instances may include contractors. Employers are obliged to maintain workers compensation insurance for all workers for work related injuries.
