DEMIRS - new name from 1 July 2025
As part of the public sector reform announced by Premier Roger Cook on 31 March, from 1 July 2025, the Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety has been renamed the Department Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety (LGIRS).
The department’s website domain name has changed and the new address is www.lgirs.wa.gov.au.
