WA Residential Battery Scheme – changes to eNotice

Due to the WA Residential Battery Scheme and the Clean Energy Regulator Battery Program, Building and Energy has updated eNotice to ensure battery systems can be effectively reported on the Notice of Completion.
These changes will take effect 1 July 2025.
The installation, alteration and addition of Batteries and Inverters to an installation is classified as Notifiable Work and therefore a Preliminary Notice and a Notice of Completion is required to be submitted via eNotice to the relevant Network Operator.
Key Changes
- Scheme identification – Electrical contractors will be able to identify if the battery installation is part of the WA Residential Battery Scheme or Clean Energy Regulator Small-Scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES).
- Separate input fields for batteries – make and model (mandatory fields) and the serial number.
- Separate input fields for inverters – make and model (mandatory fields) and the serial number.
- The ability to add multiple inverters and batteries (such as a battery stack).
The new data will be shown on the notice of completion that is sent to the Network Operators.
