Is your home safe?

Electricity is dangerous and it is essential that you know how to ensure you manage it safely in the home. Here are some essential tips:

  • Regular Inspections: Engage a licensed electrical contractor to inspect your home’s electrical system regularly to identify and fix any potential hazards.

  • Smoke Alarms: Ensure smoke alarms are installed and functioning correctly. Test them monthly and replace batteries annually.

  • Appliance Use: Avoid overloading power points and power boards. Only use appliances as per the manufacturer’s instructions.

  • DIY Electrical Work: Never attempt to do your own electrical work. Always hire a licensed electrician to handle electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance.
